Where'd you go? I miss you so. Seems like its been forever, since you've been gone.
Oh boy. It was Memorial day this weekend. A lot of stuff went down. I don't even know if I'm going to have time to type it all out before I start forgetting things or I'm too tired or I have to go. So I'll just try to write down as much as I can.
First of all...I'm feeling kind of poopy at the moment. I found out that Jon and Kate just divorced. (I watched that show a couple of times. Sure, its cute.) I thought it was extremely sad. I don't know whether it's true or not, but I heard about it so yea. It just seemed like a sort of perfect ideal family, and then suddenly, it's just all torn apart. For some reason or reasons that no one exactly knows except for Jon and Kate themselves. The first thing that came to my head was: "what about the kids?" They have eight! none of them are 10 yet I don't think. I think it's really sad when couples divorce. And when there are kids involved. I know there's a 50% divorce rate and all, but...is there some way for us to lower that? Nothing good ever comes out of a divorce when kids are involved. You can say that the mom/dad was a horrible parent or whatever, but the kid will still grow up without his/her true mom/dad. And that's an extreme psychological blow. I want to say something like "can't the couple just stay together for the sake of the kid/kids?" But that wouldn't really work out...*sigh* shit happens. That's the theme for this blog. Shit. Happens.
Shit happens and sometimes theres nothing you can do to stop it. This weekend was fun. It was pretty alright. Except for one part. Let's start with Friday...Friday I went to go get my tux for prom this coming Saturday. (Yay) and I went to my friend's church event thing which was pretty fun too. Then Saturday...I hung out with a friend and then I went to my other friend's birthday party barbeque which was alright too. Hung out with some friends and stuff, spent some good social time. Then Sunday...great. Sunday was a typical Sunday. Woke up, went to church, came home and hung out. Then around 5 I find out that a bunch of my friends were going to a club in SF. So then I call up some people and then we go. We have a pretty alright time and then afterwards we decide to just hang outside the club. (which is never a good idea). So it was a bunch of us Asian guys, like twenty of us. And whenever theres two big racial groups around, assumptions are always made. So there was this other group of African-Americans standing next to us, probably about 20 deep too, and started asking some of my friends if we were the Jackson Boys. (a notorious San Francisco Asian gang), and they replied no. (Obviously, do we seriously look like a bunch of thugs?). After a little confrontation most of my friends walked away and I continued to stand there with a few of my other friends. Keep in mind that during this whole time that they two groups were interacting, I had no part in. Then out of no where, this guy rushes at me and socks/punches (I don't know if all of you know the slang) me on the left side of my face. To my surprise I didn't fall to the ground or get knocked out or anything. And it was a hard ass punch. The guy totally blind sided me that fucker. So I turn and look at him and was like "What the fuck?" and then my friends pull me away and say "let it go Steve, just walk away", which I did. And I realize now it was probably the smart move to make since we didn't know whether they would have weapons or such. Later on I learn that apparently the African-American group thought i was a leader of the Jackson Boys. And I was like...Wow. Awesome. So this guy that punched me probably realized I wasn't that dude when I didn't pull out a gun on him or that a bunch of my friends didn't rush in. Then I think about how retarded he would feel. "Oh. I just punched some random dude that I thought was someone else...okay." It's not like he even wanted to fight me or anything. He hit me once and that was it. If he wanted to fight me he would've kept going at it. So yea. That was the most random thing that's ever happened to me. It sucked though. I got my tooth chipped and my filling came out. Now I have to go get my filling back in. Not to mention a sore ass jaw that's giving me trouble eating and talking. Great.
That was pretty long.
#2 of Shit. Happens. My friend happened to be driving on the freeway. Theres this lady in front of him that has a loose bumper and he's looking at it like "what if that falls off." He continues driving and a little later the bumper comes FLYING off. He swerves right, left, right, etc. in order to dodge it while counter steering his car which was probably soon to spin out of control. His car ends up scraping along the middle wall divider (he was driving in the fast lane) and now his paint job is completely effed up and parts of his car is dented. He pulls over to the next exit and goes into a gas station to inspect his car, and the lady is there! He recognizes her and get's hella pissed. But then the lady approaches him, crying and saying sorry and crap like that. Then he feels bad and just does what he's supposed to and they exhcnage insurance numbers etc and all that crap. But what good is that? Nothing can be fixed in an accident. Even with insurance. Your car will never be the same. Thank God that he and his passengers were okay.
So what the hell do you do in all these situations? It's like the most random crap ever that you just can't prevent. Shit just happens. Sometimes to the best of us, sometimes to the worse of us. We just gotta accept that it happens. Sometimes it really sucks. But it happens.
I'm graduating soon. The idea of it has been slowly coming to me for the past two weeks. It's a gradual and slow process that will end up with me with a waterfall coming out of my eyes on graduation day. Oh boy. Shit happens. I miss people. I miss old friends. I miss people I never see anymore. I miss people I never talk to anymore. I miss people that I've just met. I miss people that I've known since forever. And it seems like I'll just be continuing to miss them. But hey, that's life. I wonder how many people you're going to meet/interact with/see your whole life...
That would be a good experiment to do.
Anyways, it's getting late and I'm tired. I'll post more about what more I have to say if I got time.
Until next time...
The End.

Doing Something Good

I really like that whole "you should try to do one good thing everyday." Well I mean you should try to do as many as you can, but you should do at LEAST one.
Today I went to fill up my car with gas and when I was pumping gas, this homeless lady walks up to me and asks me if I have any spare change. I think the natural reaction for most people is to say "No, sorry", even if you do have change. In this case, I actually didn't have any change. And even if I did I probably would've said the same thing. So I told her, "No, I'm sorry", and she walks away. And like all the other times that this has happened, I feel super bad, because then I have to see her rummaging through a garbage can searching for recyclables or anything she can use to sustain herself. I filled up my gas tank and I had change left over from what I paid originally, so I went back inside to the cashier to get my change of a few dollars. I came back outside and found the woman from before, and I hand her the money saying "Take care of yourself." I felt kind of stupid saying that because I'm giving her a few dollars and it makes it seem like I expect her to do a whole lot with it when you can't really. She accepted the gift said "God bless you", looked up at the sky and made the sign of the cross. (It's that whole hand gesture thing with "In the name of the father, son, holy spirit, Amen") I went back into my car and I sat there for a minute or two and I was like...
Damn.
What sucks is that when I give homeless people money, I end up feeling so bad. So bad for all the things I have and all the things I don't appreciate. I end up thinking of how lucky I am and all that other crap. When I don't give some homeless person money, I feel bad for maybe 10 minutes, and that feeling goes away and I forget about it. I mean, sure, I felt nice for doing a good deed, but it really hurt me to know how stupid, selfish, and all that bad crap that I am. And that a lot of us are. Maybe that's the point of doing something good. To better yourself as a person and to help those around you become better people.
This woman thanked God for every dollar she had. Any sort of gift was a blessing to her. I wish we could all have that sort of approach/personality. I mean for all you non-religious folk you don't have to thank God and all of that stuff, but just be truly thankful and appreciate every blessing that you have in your life.
So as I sat in the car thinking about all of that, I started tearing up. No, I did not cry. I just had some sort of wetness in my eyeballs. I must've had some dust in there or something. And just now, I realize that...
She was my blessing. Having her approach me was her good deed of the day. What I gave her was to help her, but more so, help myself. Help myself continue to try to somehow achieve this state of mind. It's times like these when my faith gets so much stronger. I was having a pretty crappy day and this comes and turns it all around. It's times like these when I wonder "how can you not believe that there's some sort of higher power out there?"
My parents are coming home really late today. My sister's moving out for the end of her college school year. Senior year is almost over, Prom is coming up. Our Senior Picnic is coming up. I'm going to miss all of my friends. But I don't want to talk about it yet because there's no point in getting so emotional too early. (or at least before graduation haha)
Oh boy. I Google searched "Why are girls so complicated?" today. It was freaking awesome. The search results didn't really give me the answer I was looking for, but some of the answers sure made me laugh.
-You think girls are complicated? Wait until they turn into full-fledged women.
-Got dumped? She's ignoring you? Signals crossed? Won't talk? Yeah, all the classics...get used to it.
-because they want so much!!!!
-Who ever said it was just Girls? People in general are complicated, some people know how to hide it better, is all. People are, by nature, complex. Each person's life and experience makes them an entirely unique person, full of their own fears, hopes, and dreams. And if you want to understand a person and be close to them, you have to commit alot of time and effort to really knowing them for who they are.
(this one actually made sense haha)
-We like to give boys something to think about :)
-because they don't come with a manual
-HaHaHa! It is their purpose in life. That way it keeps us guys on our toes and we get to exercise that muscle between our ears.:)
-Because we're from Venus!
Yeah, some of those were pretty hilarious I think. Anyways, sometimes life gets really complicated. But what else is new? Girls should just spill all their beans and tell us everything that's going on in their heads...
But then again...
That'd take an eternity.
Until next time...
The End.

Today
I saw a homeless guy punch a pigeon out of the air. Then he just stood there like nothing happened.
I think it was the most amazing people hundred of people around have ever seen.
A typical day in the life of Steve Hoang.
That's all for today. I just felt like writing something.
Until next time...
The End.

Quotes In A Furnace
It's hot.
Like...
Really hot.
The temperature right now is 93 degrees. It's pretty awesome. And that's outside. My freaking room is like a green house that collects that heat, turns it up ten times, and keeps it in. It's okay though. I enjoy sitting at my computer like a loser and sweating profusely. It makes me feel more manly. And at this point, I need to feel as manly as possible because...
I just finished watching "Win A Date With Tad Hamilton"
I was trying to find the underline option because I think you're supposed to underline movie titles, but I can only find bold and italics...AND GUESS WHAT?! I found that there's an option for spell check and its not just my imagination that makes it keep turning on and off! Success!
Anyways, I just wanted to tell you guys how hot it was and to add a few quotes that were real heart wrenchers. Like, it really got to me. Shit, I feel like a girl again.
So how much do you love her? Is it love, big love, or is it great love?
Like, what do you mean?
Well, love you get over in two months. Big love, two years. Great love ...
Yeah?
Great love changes your life. ... Oh, my God. It's great love.
ls that great?
Well, you got to win her back.
Angelica, trust me, I have tried everything.
What did she say when you told her that you love her?
Well, uh, actually not everything, but ...
What did she say when you kissed her?
It's more like, uh, two things I haven't tried.
Well, what have you tried?
I have very subtly implied how I feel about her.
OK, get up.
What?
Get your ass off the barstool.
Angelica.
Hey, if you feel it and you don't do everything in your power to reach for it, you are basically slapping life in the face.
I hate to break it to you, but I don't stand a chance here, OK?
As my father told me when I said I'd never get that job in a bar, "Honey, your odds go up when you file an application."
Sure, but I'm up ... against ... Tad Hamilton.
You are Tad Hamilton.
What?
Don't you see? Everybody's Tad Hamilton to somebody, Pete. Rosalee's Tad Hamilton to you. And you're Tad Hamilton to me.
Angelica, thank you.
So start acting like it.
OK. Yeah, OK. ... You are a really good bartender!
-----
I think a bunch of that last part was sort of irrelevant if you haven't seen the movie yet, but the first part about love, big love, and great love was the part I liked. And this next one I like even better. And it connects with this first part too:
When great love is rejected, Rosalee, something inside a man dies. So all he can do is run away, where he can meet the girl he'll love second most. Unless ...
Unless what?
Unless you can get to him before he closes the book on you. But once it's closed, it's closed. lt's finished. lt's gone, dead. lt's crushed. lt's beaten. lt's buried. It is lost for all of time in a sea ...
-----
Yeah...I'll leave that one for you guys to figure out what you think on your own. That's all I have to say.
Until next time...
The End.

Stupid
The word above describes the female race.
This is my pre-apology for all of the "stupid" things a typical "stupid" guy will say about girls.
So, Girls are stupid. I capitalized Girls because i think Girls deserve this capital G. Because...
#1: A capital letter is usually used to name a person's name, a place, or something important. And don't get tricked by the word important. Because important can mean good or bad. You can be importantly bad. If that made any sense...Girls in this case are capitalized for the same reason the name Satan and Lucifer are capitalized. Okay, maybe I'm over exaggerating a little bit, but you catch my drift.
#2:....
Yeah okay I thought I had more reasons but i guess not. I think that one reason was sufficient enough though.
Girls are so complicated. Every girl out there reading this right now is probably giving me the same BS that every girl says. The three words that make up the biggest lie known to man: "no we're not."
BULLSHIT. You girls tell us that us guys are complicated. We totally aren't. We're the most simple of creatures living on this earth. It's the fact of the matter that we are so simple to your complex and confusing minds, that we seem complicated to you girls because you girls over analyze everything. I'm a guy and I already think I over analyze a lot of stuff, so when I say girls over think things, it has no sort of exaggeration. When a guy likes you, it's totally obvious. Just take it as it is. Instead, girls go "Oh my gosh he asked me to go to the movies with him over the weekend! What does that mean?! Oh my gosh he put his arm around me! Are you sure he likes me?!"
I mean I completely understand why some girls would think like this, because a lot of us guys are total assholes and we just like to have fun and hook up with a bunch of you girls and fuck around (literally and figuratively). So you guys become doubtful of our intentions. You girls take that maybe 1-10% of guys that are actually like that and stereotype us other 90%. Thanks a lot girls.
I feel like I should stop now because I can go on forever, and I want to save it for other blogs. Plus I'm getting kind of lazy and tired right now.
I guess the point of this small rant is that Girls are complicated, boys are simple, girls over think things and therefore it clashes with guy's simple-ness and therefore you girls get confused and start playing mind tricks and end up screwing us guys over in the head or something.
Whatever.
I still think all girls would disappear and we somehow learned to produce asexually and found a way to satisfy our want of women. We can eat gummy bears or something instead.
Until next time...
The End.

Whew
Damn. I haven't written in this for HELLA long. What the hell? Sheesh steve you're slipping. Anyways. I'm going to start off with some random thoughts off the top of my head first.
Harry Potter. That kid has some problems. Like he's an emotional wreck. I feel bad for him. I remember in the first book when they first came to Hogwarts and Ron and stuff all got mail from their families and Harry's all sitting there feeling sorry for himself because no one loves him. HAHA. I love being an ass sometimes. But really though, because in the third book after he meets Sirius and everything he talks about how great it feels to be able to have someone that cares and writes to you and yo ucan write back and stuff. Good job Harry Potter. I'm happy for you. You emotional wreck of a fictional character.
I look like I'm high all the time. Like my eyes are always half open. Its usually because I'm really tired. And other times its just because I think I have sensitive eyes so the glare from the sun just makes me squint a lot. And its not just because I'm Asian. I have pretty big eyes for an Asian actually. So basically I think the whole school thinks I'm some sort of pothead. It's quite funny actually.
I always feel sweaty after getting out of the shower. I think its because I take super hot showers so my body temperature goes up and then when I get out of the shower my body is still hella hot (haha, good pun.), and it sweats. I dont sweat like sweat sweat, I just feel a little perspiration on my forehead. It doesn't happen when I take cold showers (which is almost never except during extremely hot days), so that's where I am able to logically come to that conclusion.
I am like actually officially done with school. Like really. Senior year being the best year is complete bullshit. It really is. Its one of the most stressful years right next to Junior year. You have to deal with college applications, getting accepted into colleges, financial aid stuff, scholarships, keeping your grades up so you dont get rejected out of a college you get into, AP tests, not fucking up in school so you dont get to walk the stage, the emotional stuff of leaving high school and getting into this new stage in your life, moving out, HELLA shit. Apparently after first semester of Senior year everything is supposed to be okay. The only thing in the first semester is dealing with college applications. All the other crap I just mentioned (and more) is during the second semester. BUT NOW, AP's are over. For the next four weeks, I have a trip to Santa Cruz, hanging out, and a bunch of other stuff. We do nothing in most of my classes now (not that I've done anything the whole year anyway), and I just have to make sure to turn in all my work to get C's in all my classes. I'm still trying to get good grades because I'm not about to get straight C's. That's just going to be sad. But i'd be okay with a solid 3.0.
I am excited for college. I really am. Me and a few friends had a conversation (we're going to the same college) about whats going to happen and what we expect and things we're going to try to do and a bunch of other crap. It got me really pumped. Even though we dont know whats going to happen, what to expect, and no idea of what we're going to do. But yea. I still need to get a bicycle. And a laptop. And stuff to furnish my dorm with. And I want new clothes. And school supplies. And damn I sound like a girl.
Back to Harry Potter...I'm an emotional wreck too. I think I've talked about this before so I'll just go over it real quick. I hate having the capacity to be so emotional sometimes. It makes me feel like a freaking girl. I like it because it's made me able to understand girls a lot better than some guys I know, but sometimes its just really overbearing. Like things that wouldn't effect most stereotypical guys, gets to me. And it's like WTF?! But I'm a total guy in the sense that I can be a total asshole. A sometimes I know I'm being a jackass too, but I don't care. The only difference between me and the stereotypical guy is that instead of continuing to not care, I actually feel really bad afterwards. It's stupid. Why can't I just be an asshole when I want to and not feel bad about it and be a good guy when I want to and feel good about it?
Hmm...I haven't been feeling too good lately...
Lots of stuff going on...
Until next time...
The End.

Lots of stuff going on...
Until next time...
The End.

Disappointment
Today was a good day. At least it started out alright. I think I'm pmsing. I think I read an article a long time ago about how guys actually have some sort of pms thing like girls do. But its not exactly pms. And its not like once a month sort of thing. It's just sometimes males have some sort of weird hormone imbalance and it makes you hella moody. Yeah, I had that today. I have that a lot of days. I guess you can say I'm a pretty effed up person. Haha...yeaaa...
Anyways, my school had something called the STAR testing shit today. I'm not sure if other schools have it, but basically seniors don't have to take it. So I got to go to school at like 11:30 and it was AWESOME. I'm totally looking forward to college when I can schedule my own classes later in the day. I was able to concentrate hella better on a good night's rest. Normally I get five or six hours of sleep, which is really bad, but yeah.
And then as the day went on I just started feeling crappy. Don't ask me why, I just did. It's funny because I'm writing to myself like I'm actually talking to someone. What if you were reading this and you weren't even wondering or asking why? It's like when someone in real life tells you "I HATE THE WORLD!" and you ask them "why?" and they go "DON'T ASK ME"
It's like. Wtf? Why the hell would you yell that out then you attention whore. Go jump off a cliff.
You know one thing that you can always count on people doing? No matter who they are? Family, Friends, whatever.
You can always count on people disappointing you.
It's the sad fact. And a really cynical and pessimistic view on things (I'm not sure if I used cynical in the right context there), but it's true.
I just wanted to say that involving recent events happening in my life. But yeah. Okay.
Until next time...
The End.
